Capstone, your portable memory setup
A concrete task that proves you don't just understand memory + MCP, you use it daily.
You finished Level 4. You know what memory is, what MCP is, how to combine hooks and skills, and how to keep your tool setup portable. Now you build the whole thing once, document three sessions where it helped you, and deposit it as portfolio proof.
After Level 1 you showed you can use AI as a tool. After Level 4 you show you can build your own AI work environment.
The task
Build your own personal memory setup and use it for a week:
Step one. Pick a memory solution: local-memory-mcp or hosted at memory.studiomeyer.io.
Step two. Connect it to at least two clients. Claude Desktop or Claude Code is one, second is your choice.
Step three. Configure three of your own hooks or skills that fit your work.
Step four. Use it for a week. Seven real days. Collect three moments where memory or a hook saved you work.
Step five. Write a short report (300-500 words) explaining those three moments. With concrete numbers if possible.
The output
Three artifacts: a README documenting your setup; the weekly report; a small demo session (screen recording or screenshots).
Self-grading criteria
- Does someone else reproduce your setup in 30 minutes?
- Are the three hooks/skills concrete and different?
- Are the three week-moments real or made up?
- Does your report sound like you?
