# Learn the Academy right inside your AI

Your AI can retrieve existing lessons and guides. Remote MCP requires OAuth. The local npm package includes public material for offline reading.

## What is this, actually?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard AI clients use to connect to external knowledge sources. The Academy is one such source.

Instead of reading the website, your AI pulls the lessons, playbooks and build recipes directly and explains them in conversation, at your pace, in your language.

Public learning material is bundled in the local package. Personal actions need an Academy API key; remote MCP uses OAuth. These are existing technical connections, not permission for new credits or purchases.

## What your AI can pull

Existing tools for learning material and personal account actions:

- Show the learning path with all 6 levels
- Pull lessons in full and have them explained
- Search the whole course by topic
- Open hands-on playbooks and build recipes
- Get a lesson as a tutoring brief (your AI teaches)

## How to connect

Choose a compatible client. For remote access, use the server address with OAuth; locally, use the npm package over stdio.

## Common questions

Does it cost anything?

Learning is free. Premium content and the AI tutor are planned to use credits in future. No specific prices are promised here.

Do I need an account?

Not for reading the website or public material in the local package. Remote MCP requires OAuth; personal stdio actions require an Academy API key.

Which AI clients work?

ChatGPT (via server URL), Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex (via npx command).

Is my data stored?

Remote MCP is authenticated and can provide personal actions. Reading public offline content in the local package needs no account. The separate anonymous remote reading mode is planned, not active.
