Hooks

Deterministic shell commands that run on Claude Code events. Hard guarantees the model cannot bypass.

Eight core events: PreToolUse, PostToolUse, SessionStart, UserPromptSubmit, Stop, SubagentStop, PreCompact, Notification. Configured under "hooks" in settings.json. Three handler types: command (shell), HTTP (URL endpoint), LLM-prompt.
